This is a 100% solderless chip that works with all drives except new d3nothing mainboards.

News about the latest batch: A component has been replaced on the product to help support those that may have problems with the original x4 models. There is no internal code changes between x4 and 0-ohm models.
The fix to make a x4 model into a 0-ohm version is a quick simple solder job, which we have already implemented!

No soldering needed at all.
- Disconnect the Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) between the wii dvd mainboard and the wii mainboard.
- Connect the included FFC to the wii dvd mainboard and one side marked 'dvd' of the Drivekey.
- Connect the existing FFC from the wii mainboard to the one side marked 'wii' of the DriveKey.

Supports all wii dvd drive models except d3nothing!

So if you have an epoxy board or D2 board, this is the perfect solution for you, and still even works all current wii dvd mainboards except new d3nothing!
